Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (“you” or the “User”) and StudySolutions (“StudySolutions”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) governing your access to and use of studysolutions.app and the services offered on the site (together, the “Services”).

By creating an account or otherwise using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, each of which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

StudySolutions is a subscription platform offering three distinct study tools. Feature availability, quotas, and limits depend on your subscription tier and may change over time.

Homework Unlocks. A retrieval service that surfaces existing study solutions from supported third-party platforms, including Chegg, Course Hero, Quizlet, Numerade, Bartleby, Brainly, Scribd, Studocu, CliffsNotes, and Study.com. Supported platforms are grouped into premium and standard domains, each with its own quota. The free Basic tier includes small lifetime allowances; paid tiers include weekly quotas that reset on your billing cycle.

AI Humanizer. A tool that rewrites AI-generated text into a more natural style. The service is powered by a third-party AI provider (Ryne AI) and is subject to weekly word quotas that reset on your billing cycle.

Turnitin Similarity & AI Check. A service that generates authentic Turnitin similarity and AI-detection reports for documents you upload. Uploaded documents are not added to any Turnitin repository. Uploaded files are automatically deleted after processing, and generated report links expire approximately twenty-four (24) hours after issuance.

The Services depend on third-party providers, and we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of any specific supported platform or feature.

You must be at least thirteen (13) years old to use the Services. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Services with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf. By using the Services, you represent that you meet these requirements.

You may register an account using an email and password or through supported single sign-on providers, currently Google and Discord. You agree to provide accurate information, keep it current, and safeguard your credentials. Each individual may hold one account; multiple accounts used to circumvent quotas or restrictions are prohibited.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us at support@studysolutions.app promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not liable for losses resulting from your failure to secure your credentials.

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for complying with all laws and regulations that apply to your use of the Services, as well as any policies of your school, university, or other institution.

You further agree to:

• Provide accurate information during registration and keep it up to date.
• Maintain the confidentiality of your account and credentials.
• Use the Services in a manner that does not disrupt or degrade the platform.
• Respect the intellectual property, privacy, and other rights of StudySolutions and third parties.
• Comply with the terms of any third-party service reached through the Homework Unlocks feature.

You may not, directly or indirectly:

• Share your account credentials or allow another person to use your account, or create multiple accounts to bypass quotas, trials, or restrictions.
• Resell, sublicense, rent, or otherwise commercially redistribute the Services, output generated through the Services, or any subscription entitlement, without our prior written consent.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of any part of the Services, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.
• Use bots, scrapers, headless browsers, or any automated means to access, monitor, or extract data from the Services.
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security, quota, rate-limiting, or authentication features of the Services.
• Upload or transmit malware, exploit code, or any content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or that infringes the rights of a third party.
• Use the Services in connection with any activity that violates applicable law or the policies of your institution.

Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, revocation of remaining quota, forfeiture of fees paid, and, where warranted, referral to law enforcement.

StudySolutions is offered on a weekly subscription basis. Current plans include a Study Pass ($4.50/week), a Study Pass+ ($9.95/week), and single-service passes starting at $1.45/week, in addition to a free Basic tier with small lifetime allowances. Prices are shown in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise indicated and exclude any applicable taxes, which are your responsibility.

Payments are processed by our third-party payment processors, currently Stripe and PayPal. By subscribing, you authorize us and our processors to charge your selected payment method for the applicable fees on a recurring weekly basis until you cancel. You are responsible for keeping your payment information current.

You may cancel at any time from your account settings or by contacting support. Cancellation stops future renewals; your access continues until the end of the current paid period. Weekly quotas do not roll over and are forfeited when a billing period ends, when you cancel, or when your subscription otherwise terminates.

Refunds are governed by our separate Refund Policy. We may adjust pricing, plan features, or quotas on prospective notice; material changes affecting an active subscription will apply at the start of the next billing period.

The Services, including all software, text, graphics, logos, user interfaces, and the selection and arrangement thereof, are owned by StudySolutions or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of any applicable fees, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your own study and reference purposes. This license does not permit you to copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Services, to use the Services for commercial redistribution, or to remove any proprietary notices.

The StudySolutions name, logo, and related marks are our trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written permission. Third-party names and marks that appear in the Services belong to their respective owners; references to third-party platforms (including supported unlock platforms and Turnitin) are for identification only and do not imply endorsement or affiliation.

You retain ownership of any documents, text, questions, or other material you submit to the Services (your “User Content”). You grant StudySolutions a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, and display your User Content solely as needed to operate and improve the Services and to deliver the feature you requested (for example, sending a document to Turnitin or a humanization provider on your behalf).

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to submit your User Content and to grant the license above.
• Your User Content does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any third party.
• Your User Content complies with these Terms and applicable law.

Uploads to the Turnitin service are automatically deleted after processing, and generated report links expire approximately twenty-four (24) hours after issuance. Retention of other User Content is described in our Privacy Policy.

StudySolutions is a study aid. The Services are intended to help you learn, review reference material, and evaluate your own work; they are not a substitute for your independent effort, judgment, or the requirements of your institution.

You are solely responsible for how you use output from the Services, including any material returned by Homework Unlocks, text produced by the AI Humanizer, and reports generated by the Turnitin service. You must comply with your school, college, university, employer, or other institution’s academic-integrity, honor code, testing, and assessment policies, as well as any applicable law.

StudySolutions does not encourage, condone, or facilitate plagiarism, contract cheating, exam misconduct, or any other form of academic dishonesty. Using the Services to submit work as your own where doing so violates institutional rules or law is a breach of these Terms and may result in termination of your account.

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, StudySolutions and its licensors and providers disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and course of dealing or performance.

We do not warrant that:

• The Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, timely, secure, or available at any particular time or location.
• Any errors or defects will be corrected.
• Output generated by the AI Humanizer will evade any specific AI-detection system, and we make no representations about detectability by any third party.
• Similarity or AI scores returned by the Turnitin service will match those produced by any other tool or institutional integration.
• Any particular supported platform will remain available through the Homework Unlocks feature.

You use the Services at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will StudySolutions or its affiliates, directors, employees, agents, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services, whether based in contract, tort, statute, or otherwise, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions, the limitations above apply to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by applicable law.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless StudySolutions and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to:

• Your access to or use of the Services;
• Your User Content or any output you generate through the Services;
• Your breach of these Terms or violation of any law or third-party right;
• Any academic-integrity proceeding, institutional discipline, or third-party action arising from your use of the Services.

We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with our defense. This obligation survives termination of these Terms and your use of the Services.

You may stop using the Services at any time. To end a paid subscription, cancel it from your account settings; access continues through the end of the current billing period, as described in the Refund Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services, in whole or in part, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that you have breached these Terms, engaged in prohibited activity, created a security or legal risk to StudySolutions or others, or failed to pay any amount owed. Where practicable, we will attempt to give notice before taking action.

On termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. We may delete or anonymize your account and User Content in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Provisions that by their nature are meant to survive termination — including intellectual-property terms, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will survive.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where practical, provide additional notice through the Services or by email. Non-material changes take effect when posted.

Your continued use of the Services after revised Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of them. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Services and, if applicable, cancel your subscription before the changes take effect.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Our failure to enforce a provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that provision.

Before filing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us at support@studysolutions.app and make a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute informally. If a dispute is not resolved within sixty (60) days, either party may pursue non-binding mediation, and, failing that, binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its then- current rules. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Class action waiver. You and StudySolutions each agree that any dispute will be brought in an individual capacity only, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding.

Any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services must be brought within one (1) year after the claim accrues; otherwise it is permanently barred, except where a longer period is required by applicable law.
